Using the service
QRBeam is a free tool that generates QR codes in your browser, operated by Orbion Teknoloji Limited Şirketi. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site.
Ownership
The QRBeam software, its source code, design, brand and written content are the property of Orbion Teknoloji Limited Şirketi. Nothing on this site transfers those rights to you, and none of it may be copied, rebranded or redistributed as your own product without written permission.
That is separate from the QR codes you create, which are yours outright — see below.
The codes you create are yours
We claim no ownership of anything you generate. QR codes produced here may be used for any lawful purpose, commercial or otherwise, with no attribution required and no licence fee. You do not need our permission to sell products carrying a code made here.
What you may not do
- Generate codes that link to malware, phishing pages, or content that is illegal where it will be displayed.
- Place codes in a way designed to deceive — for example covering a legitimate payment code on a parking meter or an invoice.
- Encode credentials or personal data belonging to someone else without their agreement.
- Attempt to overload, probe or circumvent the rate limits on the public API, or use automated means to scrape the site.
Because generation happens entirely on your device, we have no technical ability to see or block what you encode. That places the responsibility squarely on you.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be available without interruption, that a generated code will scan on every device, or that it is fit for any particular purpose.
This matters in practice: always test a QR code on real devices before printing it at scale. Scanner behaviour varies across phones, apps and operating system versions, and a print run is expensive to repeat.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QRBeam is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including the cost of reprinting materials, lost revenue, or loss arising from a code that failed to scan. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Advertising
The site carries third-party advertising. We do not control which ads are shown and do not endorse advertisers or their products. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them.
Trademarks
QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED. DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED invented the QR format in 1994 and holds the original patents, but committed publicly never to enforce them, which is why the format can be used without a licence. QRBeam is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED, and this trademark acknowledgement grants them no rights in QRBeam itself.
Changes
These terms may change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
